Hi Ray,

From a females point of veiw a couple of lovely restaurants I would like to be taken to are all in Ubud.... Firstly Lamak in Monkey Forest Rd is great www.lamakbali.com. Or Cafe de Artists in Jl Bisma or even The Indus which is afiliated with Honey Moon Guesthouse. Have you tried out their website? www.casalunabali.com I have stayed at the guesthouse many times over the past few years and also eanjoyed evenings at the Indus and also their cooking classes done in the grounds of the guesthouse. Also had a lovely lunch at Lamak only just last week.

My suggestion is definately stay in the Seminyak area I personally like to be able to step out of the hype of Kuta area when I have had enough.

Another reataurant we went to last week was a Morracan one called Khaima located on Jl Lakasama (0361 7423925) .On the left hand side driving down from semiyak direction. Great food, fantastic atmosphere and decor.I beleive also Warisan, and Ku de Ta area also well worth a try for a great dining experience.(www.kudeta.com)

Re the school why not email Janet de Neefe owner of the HoneyMoon Guesthouse (whos children go to a local school in Ubud)she could perhaps point you in the right direction.

Also may I suggest that in Ubud you try the Zen Body Holiday Spa on Jl Hanoman Ph 0361 970976 have always enjoyed my visits to there.

I also like to visit Kenko reflexology for their 1 hr treatment 75000rp for 1 hr Full Body . Starting with feet then arms, hands, back neck head .They can be found in Ubud on Money Forest and Jl Raya Ubud opp the market. Or in Legian Jl Padma 8X or Jl Raya legian No 355,Jl Singosari no 16.

Also in Candi Dasa have you checked out the website of The WaterGarden ? We found it a very pleasant place to stay. www.watergardenhotel.com

If you both like the beach perhaps take a trip approx 40min towards Uluwatu direction to Dreamland and Balangan ,Padang Padang Beaches. Lovely white sand ,you can hire a longe and umbrella on the beach in amonst the other beach goers or walk up the beach a bit further in either direction for a quieter spot . Also a number of places to eat along the beach. Lovely scenery to take in as well.

Enjoy your holiday.... Cheers Toni
