Accomodation help please

Hi Guys,

First time to Bali for both my boyfriend and myself in May. Heading there due to us having to cancel our trip to Phuket due to the Tsuami.

Having trouble deciding on accomodation! We want somewhere that isn't too far from all the action, is not jam packed full of kiddies, and somewhere that is realllly nice. Want a nice big pool - with a pool bar of course!

Looking at the following options - any feedback would be appreciated.

* Hard Rock Hotel Bali
* Alum Kul Kul
* Bali Dynasty Resort
* Balihai Resort
* Discovery Kartika Plaza
* Ramada Bintang
* Bali Mandira
* The Patra Bali

Have been searching the archives which has been of some help, but time consuming!!
