The trends that I noticed this year were:

1. Young foreign men wearing sling bags across their chests.

2. Hotel prices on Agoda were down.

3. Airline prices were up.

4. No timeshare sales people in Kuta.

5. No fake Buddhist monks in Kuta.

6. Every tenth shop in Kuta is a tattoo shop.

7. No DVD and CD shops in Kuta.

8. Less aggressive t shirt sellers in Kuta.

9. The Grand Lucky Supermarket in Sanur is now the most popular supermarket in Sanur.

10. Gojek cars and scooters are now the most popular ride share service in Bali.

11. English language newspapers are now only available in Periplus book shops.

12. Beer is still cheap in Bali, I paid Rp 20,000 for a Bintang at the Rice Paddy Cafe in Kuta and Rp 19,000 at the Grand Lucky Supermarket in Sanur.

13. The Skygarden night club in Kuta is now derelict and closed.

14. The LXXY night club in Kuta is still open.

15. The 5GX vertical bungee jump in Kuta is still open.
