Yes, I received a PM from a lady who arrived in Bali last month.
She complained that Agoda cancelled her hotel booking 2 days before she arrived in Bali. She had a mad struggle to rebook another hotel.
I can think of 2 reasons why this happened:
1. The booking engine accepts bookings, even when a hotel is closed.
2. The hotel decided to cancel the booking because it did not want to pay Agoda's 30% commission. Other booking sites charge lower commissions.
