Please don't read this if food (and the pursuit of fantastic food experiences) does not rule your holiday planning - because you'll think I'm just a....
However of you are a real foodie and love Balinese, Indo and indeed global terrific food then where in Bali would you suggest as must dines (we are there for a month in May) - from that secret corner warung to excellent degustations? As an indicator:
- We love the Indonesian at Bambu in Seminyak near Biku - as well as the Indo at the small (not associated with the former) Bambu warung at the bottom of Sunset
- Also really like Sip and Pearl - as well as Merah Putih
- Locavore in Ubud is probably our Bali favourite
- We think that both Mozaics are over-hyped and that Sarong has lost the plot a tad (still like their Wed. moroccan specal lunch)
- We love Warung Jadai's (66 - next to Pearl) salt and pepper prawns but hate the 2+ hour wait for them
- We use to love the crispy duck at Warung Europa in Seminyak but think that it's gone downhill - more crispy bones now than duck
We think the best breakfasts are at Watercress in Seminyak - but always keen for new places and ideas.
Anyway seeking anything from the best beef or fish soups to redangs, from the softest souffles to the tasties babi guling and bebek betutu. Any and all ideas really appricated as we have 78 meal slots (excl snacks) to 'fill' and enjoy - and $ back guarantee (from me) at Locavore in Ubud if you are up that way.
Thanks in advance.
