I live in South Africa and as you may know our currency is really struggling against the dollar, etc. but I can still stay in Sanur at the lovely Swastika Bungalows for 2 weeks for a fraction of the price that I'd pay for a BnB in Cape Town. And the fantastic Balinese hospitality just can't be faulted. We eat really cheaply in Bali - and Sanur has a good mix of cheap warungs and more expensive western style restaurants. You are spoilt for choice there. So go cheap or go expensive - it's really up to you in Bali!
