Ubud venues for rock chicks! Best venue for consistently good music - Laughing Buddha bar Monkey Forrest Rd. LOL (LOL is a bar name) on the same street fifty meters on the left. Bamboo Bar behind the goals of the football (soccer) ground. Jazz cafe!XL
Kuta. Expresso bar Jl legian is loud, trashy and full of rock and roll every night. Crusoes bar has good music on the same street a couple of hundred meters away and is OK if you see past a few local working girls, and don't drink spirits (they dilute their spirits. FACT!) Hard Rock cafe for over priced everything but has good tunes.
A taxi from tuban to Sanur - 100 000 rupiah.
Car and driver for the day 5-600 000 + and hugely variable. Other forum members will be able to offer contacts in this regard, I'm sure.
Money changers abound. Change a small amount at the airport and get a few hundred rupiah more per dollar on the street.
Best eating places will need a bit of defining. Price range, style etc.
