..and, yes, mornings are delightful in Bali. but, well, I'm just getting home. The love of my life has just finished her sembian (I still don't know how to spell it) and she's burning incense dressed in a rather fetching sarong that hugs all the right places. That wrist action while giving water, the sincerity of her bowed head, the genuine nature of her being makes me love her so much more every day.
I have one day a fortnight where I go to sanur and do the expat thing, get drunk, play pool and generally be a lout. but every minute I'm away I can't wait to get back to singapadu, a small village about fifteen minutes outside Ubud.
Living in Bali is good. You can do it to if you really want. Really, you can!
We own a very small house on 1 are and have ten are in Negara (North west Bali) but live a very simple life. My wife works for a dive company and I work three months a year seasonally in australia. we have a very good life on combined earnings of $1500 dollars a month. we actually do live very well for that. I know it's your holiday, and money isn't something to consider mostly on your annual thing. But, if you ever have an incling, bali can be VERY cheap place to have an honest simple life.
Oh, God. I'm rambling. Ha sedikit mabuk. :)
