Snorkelling and diving. Also warungs and some restuarants. Good place to relax, no shops, fairly quiet alrhough more tourists are discovering the area. There are plenty of local drivers that you can prearrange to drive you to the airport. Depending on the time you may want to think about the last night in Sanur or Legian, easier/closer to get to rhe airport. Amed is on the east coast and a number of hours from airport. In my opinion heaps better than Padang Bai. I snorkel, not dive but there are diving schools in Amed - especially near the Japanese diving wreck. I never recommend places to stay as I normally go to budget places, even in Bali. Some people may be disappointed in my choice pf accom as they only stay 5 star.
Another place to consider is Nusa Lembongan. Easy to get to via fast boat from Sanur or Amed. Good places for snorkelling, do not know about diving there. No transport there but hire motorbikes, a range of places to stay on the island, plenty of cheap food options. Mind you it is becoming more of a tourist place now too. At least hardly any shops or hawkers. Enjoy whatever you do around Bali.
