Suriwathi is a great hotel and cheap (breaky is crap, but plenty of options close by) but it's not a homestay.
Possibly they were referring to Wayan's House, which is closer to the Melasti St end of Garlic Lane. They have a facebook page. About the same price as Suriwathi.
