Xmas time is smack bang in the middle of wet season, the beaches from Tuban until way past Seminyak are disgusting and the water is even worse at that time of year. Only worth visiting for sunset drink at best. Travel further up the West coast or head over the other side on day trips, though traffic can be horrendous :(
