Hi All,

Just had a week at the Hard Rock from Easter Friday till friday 10th - myself, wife and 6yr old boy. Was a bit of a surprise holiday for my wife and boy over Easter which made it extra fun.

A brilliant stay all round - our fourth trip to Hard Rock and really starting to feel at home there which is exactly what we are after. been to Bali 20+ times and seen most of the island and surrounds so it is all about relaxing and family fun for us.

We were lucky enough to afford a kids suite on this trip and to get the additional Rock Royalty treats. The special royalty club was nice and evening cocktails and snacks was nice on a few of the nights we headed there. Only downside is that our favourite part of having a suite was breakfast poolside at the Splash bar which you can no longer do - we loved our morning coffee and relax by the pool but now it is in the Royalty Club room which is not quite same - but still good.

Hard Rock overall was great - staff are fantastic and the main pool is still great for kids and adults alike. Our son spent at least half a day in the kids club most days and the staff were great and all the activities he loved. He won a few medals at the afternoon olympics so he was a very happy camper.

Food:

First night we ate at Poppies which was average - not bad but not particularly great for the prices. Standards like nasi goreng and mie goreng were very westernised and pretty average. Great ambience though.

Yulias Kitchen - perhaps the best nasi campur I have ever had !!! Went three times to have it as it was so good - each time as good as the last - excellent !!!

Hacienda Mexican in Tuban - excellent food and service here. We shared about 5 small dishes and they were great.

Outings

Canngu Club - took our little fella for a half day of trampolining and ten pin bowling here. Was a great day out - the Bounce area is airconditioned and well controlled - not too many bouncers and plenty of trampolines. Ten Pin bowling was standard but fun and fairly cheap compared to home.

Waterbom - always good and well run. They are in the midst of constructing the new slide tower to replace the remaining original - looks fairly advanced so may be ready in a few months - should greatly reduce the lines on the main slides although they are never more than a 15 minute wait.

Cabana Days

Hired a poolside cabana for 4 of the days to just relax and did exactly that - in and out of the pool, snoozed, swam and slid with my little boy, nipped down the road to Smart Spa for a few massages and had a very relaxing time.

Only 11 weeks till we are back for our main 10 day holiday in July.

Happy to answer any questions.
