I'm always amazed at how peoples perceptions of a place can differ so much, and by the way this is not a dig at anyone elses positive comments just my opinion!
We stayed here for one night acouple of years ago.
I booked it after seeing various positive reviews on Tripadvisor (It's still currently on a rating of 4.8).
We stayed in three of the Pool View Rooms on the first floor near the swim up bar end of the pool.
All of the rooms were in a very shabby condition, in much need of a refurbishment (perhaps they have been by now....I would have hoped so!). Across the three rooms we had one or more of the following issues:
Dirty grout, cracked and broken tiles in bathroom, crack from top to bottom in the side panel of the bath, TV reception extremely bad in all rooms.
And to top it all off whilst having a nice evening swim, we were entertained by the playful antics of rats popping in and out of the grating by the side of the pool!
Sorry but never again for us!
