It took me a while as I am slow, to find it is actually a facebook group.' Then it took me even longer to decipher the code (the abbreviated language).
I can see why 'everybody' has gone over to the other side, it is so friendly, no-one corrects your spelling, or gives you a hard time about starting a question with 'this may be a dumb question but...'
I have learnt so much in the 2 weeks I have been observing this group, things about Bali I just never knew, even after living here nearly a decade, such as:
The Gili's are in Bali
Henna Tattoos are fine as they are use on Balinese Brides
There are ATM's in Bali
All Balinese Police are corrupt
You can get luxury accommodation under $100 a night
All Balinese are under the poverty line
The Gili's are in Indonesia as someone went there
Bali is a country
Tiki's are a Bali thing
Because Balinese are Hindu, they speak Hindi.
All Balinese do Yoga, it was invented in Bali
Cows are sacred in Bali
Nusa Dua has the best beaches
Candidasa is close to the airport
Locals don't departure tax, but they never go anywhere anyway
Taxi's saying they don't have change is okay as they are poor and need it more than you
Oh, and if you do want to shift over you have to learn to do that hashtag thingy or no one can find your post
