A few years ago we split our stay between the Padma and Holiday Inn. Although the Holiday Inn is quite a walk from Kuta we loved the large open grass area so my daughter could run around. Food was great, nice quiet atmosphere. Kids club was nice and clean and you could pop in with the twins for a play. The large cabanas next to the pool are fantastic! I think it's one of the best hotels that we've stayed at that caters for young children. Or you could try Sanur or Nusa Dua for a few nights before Legian. We often stay at 2 different hotels when we got to Bali. Taxi between each and then hubby just takes the kids to lunch/pool whilst I organise the next checkin.
