The only time I have not asked about a ticket out is when I have a return ticket with the same airline.
Jetstar asked for my ticket out of Indonesia in Sydney before I flew to Bali. They wanted a ticket out within 60 days of arrival in Bali.
AA also asked for my ticket out of Indonesia in KL before I flew to Bali.
Qantas asked for my ticket out of Indonesia in Sydney before I flew to Jakarta.
