On Padma Utara, right next door to the Ramada Camakila was where we stayed on our first trip as a family. 2BR apartments are very spacious, have a great sized living area, kitchen, dining & full size fridge, microwave etc

You share the pool area with the other apartments, but we found it was rarely used by other guests. It has a kids pool.

I would recommend going for an apartment on the 1st or 2nd level as the ground floor ones open directly onto the pool area (and I'd be worried the whole time about someone leaving the door open).

I actually found it really hard to find villas suitable for families - I wanted enclosed air conditioned living areas & bedrooms that didn't have direct access to the pool, or where the kids had to walk outside to access parent's room in the night. Apartments are a good compromise I reckon.

You could also have a look at the Bali Courtyard Apartments on Jl Werkedura or the new Seaside Suites Bali.
