A long time ago I remember being able to buy most things over the counter. I have just got back this weekend from Bali. While I was there, my travelling companion got very sick with pain from a broken tooth. Her dentist had obviously not dealt with it properly at home. And luckily I had some Panadeine Forte and she was able to take those. But when she ran out of them we went to the pharmacy (More than one). The strongest they would sell was Panadol. They wouldn't even sell anything with codeine over the counter. So itself that now you need to take any prescription items with you.
