Masa Wifi is ok.
I practically use it everyday when I am there.
I do business, contact the company I'm involved in, check emails, read the Sydney papers back in Australia and even post on BTF :)
Wifi is free through out the hotel, rooms etc. just ask at reception for a 7 day WIFI password, then renew every 7 days.
You will have to re register the password every time you open the laptop etc.
I did find that Skype was the best and cheapest way to communicate with the office, via landline or mobile, very clear reception...a 7 minute call to Sydney was $1:40
Naturally landline is cheaper just charge up your Skype with cash (credit card) before you go and set it for automatic top up and it will top up your account when it gets down to $4...sometimes it can be difficult topping up you Skype account whilst o/seas.
Masa also has a generator so power drop outs are not a problem.
