You have to go with one of the official guides and I don't have a specific name to recommend - and it may not be possible to choose anyway: it's basically a closed shop. I booked through C-Bali, where Rachel was, as ever, very helpful but whichever hotel you're staying at locally could do that for you. I was picked up (in Kedisan)at 3:30am and driven the short distance to the area where the guides meet and I was assigned one: I was happy with him. A steep walk but well worth the effort.
