My wife is in bali at present and flew with AA, the email was advising the $22pp was for Airport departure Tax , she flys out tomorrow.
I have 4 flights paid with AA, I asked Air Asia about my other flights and they said sooner to the flight dates they will email and advise of the extra charge(Airport Departure Tax).
