Team 3 have been very vocal about talking the talk, so we were expecting big things from them, however as we all know, the best laid plans in Bali.....
The night started well with drinks on the beach whilst enjoying a beautiful Bali sunset.
We then adjourned to the nearby beachside restaurant " Headquarters" where there was a bit confusion over the seating arrangements which could lose them a few points!
This team seemed to overdo it in the "try hard" stakes as they had enlisted the help of the manager ( Barry......obviously not a local ) to help score them a few bonus points!
Barry brought over the entire security team of about 6, to our table to reassure us of our safety ( we weren't concerned about our safety until this happened)!
We ordered our meals and drinks (buy one bintang get one free) then we waited.....and waited......and waited. Serious loss of points here! We waited so long that Barry came over with complimentary shots of Ouzo to take our minds off the wait!
Our meals, when they arrived, were very tasty, well presented and good value for money. Quite a few ordered the chicken satay, peanut sauce delish, red snapper with black pepper sauce, again sauce was delish, I ordered seafood Kebabs with mash potato and bernaise sauce, very nice. Most meals were under $10.
The team then surprised us all with a change of location for dessert, while some were not thrilled with this idea, it was a stroke of genius as the ice cream and waffles/ pancakes at Flapjacs were a huge hit! May have just saved their night!
ATM I think all teams are neck and neck ( maybe team 1 Jimbaran Bay a bit behind), so tonight's team 4 will be very interesting. Team 4 consists of the 4 youngest members ( all in there 20's) who decided to combine their 2 teams into 1. Not sure how this will pan out as the 3 boys intend on watching the cricket all day today... hmmmm, maybe Burger King from them tonight!
