Having so much fun here, brother in law has organised an MKR Bali comp, we have 5 teams of 2 to 3 people and each team must organise and host a dinner, other teams judge and give points for things like ambience, food, value for money and many other things that pertain to Bali. Team no. 1 chose Jimbaran Bay and scored very high in the ambiance but lost points with the state of the toilets and the dog that did a wee on the leg of our table! Tonight was our team and we chose to start the evening by watching the Pies beat the Hawks at KTH, we then went on to the Victory Hotel in poppies1 where we had arranged a traditional feast of Babi Guling, rice and Balinese vegetables, followed by a delicious chocolate ( birthday) cake accompanied by the band sing Happy birthday to one of the team!
We then adjourned to Secret Garden Bar where a few of our members excelled at Kareoke! All in all a very successful evening and I think tomorrow nights team have a hard task ahead of them to beat! ( I think we may have lost points when a couple of our younger female team members were propositioned en route to said Hotel)...gained points when male members were propositioned!
