Gate keeping is right. I have two friends here in Sydney wanted to treat a local to a holiday here. After spending money on passports, tickets , visas etc. they were both refused by Aussie Immigration. I am bringing my housekeeper down for the same thing.
Repaying years of service. I trust he gets a visa. He is married with two kids, is sponsored by a local hotel owner prepared to show his cash assets. Under those circumstances I would assume he gets a visa. But, who knows in this political climate.
