Hi Everyone,
We had five days in Sanur at Griya Santrian, then came to Ubud. We have been here six nights so far. My friend, who is a Bali first-timer, leaves tonight but I am staying on.
In Sanur we ate at Tandjung Sari. It is on my bucket list to stay there, but I enquired and unfortunately they have all king beds. As I am single and travel with a friend, that won't do. There are some sacrifices I am not prepared to make.
We also ate twice at Art Cafe. We couldn't get in to Mona Lisa (Valentines night) so we went back to Art Cafe again, we enjoyed it so much. We had a lunch at Tootsies and a lunch at Rosetta Coffee shop. All good, and all recommended on the forum. Thanks everyone!
I did a little shopping at Sindhu Beach Market, but not a great deal. My travelling companion loves the beach, so we spent our time along there and in the pool. We managed to dodge the rain, though we had a couple of swims while it rained.
I have been keeping a sketchbook while I have been in Bali, and putting the sketches and some photos on my blog. I am running about a week behind with that too! But from now I will be on my own part of the time, so I can catch up.

The sketches start at the airport, but once I get to Bali, they are mostly of Balinese things. I meet up with the Bali Urban Sketchers when I come here. I am trying to get my book fairly full by the time I go home.
