Yes Holiday Inn is a certainly out of the main area. We would walk along the beach to get to Centro Shopping Centre (the walk into Kuta us quite far in the heat!) My husband loves the Hoiday Inn (the quiet atmosphere, service, nice food). I think it's perfect for those with really young children due to cleanliness and the kids club is quite impressive for little ones. If you want to go to Seminyak restaurants each night you might find it is too far out. If you want to eat at the hotel and restaurants in the South Kuta area, it might suit.
