Tim Tam: I thnik if you read the responses carefully you will realise that everyone was trying to give helpful and caring advice. It does seem odd for hotel staff to open a safe and rearrange the contents. Even more confusing is it seems no money was taken. Why would the staff do that? It was also valid for all the girls to make sure that none of them had actually been into the safe looking for something. The threat to log a bad review was a natural reaction for an 18 year old.
As a regular visitor we tend not have a lot of cash at any time and make ATM withdrawals as and when required. We do keep our passports in the safe.
I hope the girls can continue their holiday and have plenty of fun.
