Of the 700,000 or so Aussies that travel to Bali each year, probably only a few hundred read this forum, and even that number is dwindling. So to say "it still happens" is naive. It will always happen as long as there are tourists and people that take a lax attitude to travelling. By lax I mean, not being aware of your surroundings and not carrying all your cash, cards and passports with you, in ANY country that you travel to.
