Light showers already this morning have delayed the compulsory street/beach march.
High overcast, but likely to burn off as the day progresses.
Yesterday was spent in part looking for a daybed.
This involved traipsing around Kerobokan initially, and then off to the bypass road to the many manufacturing and sales outlets there.
Pricing for a 2 meter long and 1 meter deep piece with ornate carving runs to around 4 million, with an extra 700k or so for the "mattress".
With shipping and all else, the yardstick seems to be double the purchase price to arrive at landed cost.
Aside from the price issues between buying overseas and buying in Bali, you will likely find a better selection in Bali and it's somehow nice to be able to say you purchased it in Bali as opposed to down the road.
Last night it was early tea at Gong Corner.
Grilled snapper great as always, with spicy sauces and ice cold Bintang.
Excellent company and a few laughs about the forum and the diversity of people and motives that it throws up.
Not a lot planned for today, but an important chore is to swap two crates of empties at the morning market located Bali Jaya.
24 small Bintangs will cost Rp275k and San Mig light brings less swap concessions at around 400k.
Just to round off, the street rate improved slightly yesterday, at 9,840 odd at honest outlets.
