I thought Garuda was sensational. I travelled Cathay last year, and Qantas and Finnair the year before. Cathay are supposed to be best business class, but I thought Garuda were much better. Purser came and introduced herself to me. Talked about food and she recommended the Balinese fish satay for the snack before .landing. Came back to see if I liked it, not in a customer service kind of way, but in the way a friend would if they had recommended something they really liked themselves.
Very generous with drinks. We were half an hour on the Tarmac before taking off so came and refilled the champagne. Same at lunchtime with the wine. Then there was the vodka and tonic in the glass that's as getting close to a half pint. Just as well for the flat beds.
If you get a seat on the right hand side of the aircraft coming up you get a great view along Lombok and Bali (but you probably knew that!)
