I have stayed at the Gardenia Guesthouse in the past and it is a very pretty & quite guesthouse you will enjoy your stay. They have a very nice cafe with lots of great food but there are also so many nice places close by like Ristorante Sale e Pepe which is just around the corner (3 minutes walk) in Jl.Cemara; Sweet Magnolia on the beachfront (sister cafe to Gardenia) and you can walk through to the Beach Club at Puri Santrian ... best place on the beach in Sanur to relax with an excellent coffee and banana pancake ... yum. I find the best shopping is a short taxi ride up to the Sindu Beach Markets in northern Sanur but there are a lot of lovely boutique shops up near Hardies Supermarket worth a look. If your looking for a good spa then I can recommend the Leha Leha Spa around the corner on Jl. Sudamala.
