Why not let them enjoy the shopping without having to drag you with them, taking away so much of the pleasure because they know you are bored. Set them free and arrange to meet them somewhere for lunch, or even better late afternoon drinks. As for you, get a book, a lounger in the shade and spend the day chllin.
It took me several trips before I realised that me tagging along with wife and daughters was simply no fun for anyone.
Now on a really busy day while my wife shops, I can fit in a read, a swim, a curry for lunch, a couple of binnies and a nap. Perfect.
I can then show a little interest in the stuff that has been bought and then concentrate on more binnies and watch the sun go down.
It means everyone is happy.
