BIMC liaised with insurance company, we also spoke to insurance company for medical advice and decision making. Insurance company had to approve all treatments, hence why they liaised with hospital and the need to find out the nature and how injury occurred I.e. genuine claim or something not covered by insurance. A deposit was paid but c/card and reimbursed later, rest paid by insurance direct to hospital. Costs were high and included, scans, emergency surgery and life support, in our case insurance covered the lot. Hope all goes well for you, it is a stressful time, good luck.
