We booked with Jetstar 7 months ago during a sale for our March holiday, then they changed their schedule and refunded us because it was no good.
Garuda are going through a "company wide restructure" according to a news article or two that I've read.
They completely f***ed up our schedule on 1st March returning 9th March and cancelled both flights so we had to be moved to different dates, incurring about $650 additional expenses due to domestic flight changes and additional accommodation. (We weren't planning on just visiting Bali, had some Citilink flights booked to another city too, then a relaxing stay in Bali on the way back to Perth).
We booked with Garuda thinking their schedule was reliable, even though it was more expensive. Turns out all airlines make schedule changes, so just keep an eye out for deals a bit closer to your desired date of travel then book.
