I can only offer my opinion on the Villa Puri Ayu, having stayed in the 2 bedroom Emerald suite 3 separate times, and the Sanur Paradise Plaza Suites (we haven't stayed there but visited friends who did).

For us, we much preferred Villa Puri Ayu purely because of the location of the Plaza Suites. We like to have the beach, shops & restaurants right on our doorstep and don't want to have to catch a shuttle or taxi if we decide to pop out for a walk along the beach, a massage, a meal or a wander amongst the shops. It suits our friends because they follow a set timetable every day of their holiday, based around catching the shuttles to & from the hotel. This is definitely not our style!

We are a family of 3, with a young daughter who also loves the company of other kids. We've always found the Puri Ayu to be fairly quiet, but there has usually always been at least 1 or 2 other families staying at the same time. The 2BR suite is great value for money, the food at the hotel is tasty & cheap and the staff are friendly & helpful.

Unfortunately the "perfect" family accommodation doesn't exist in Sanur (believe me I've searched & searched!). If only the Plaza Suites were on the beach... but then we probably couldn't afford to stay there :-)
