I didn't notice any big change in prices last month but the rate was only just going up when I was there. I doubt it will have changed things much.
I've never seen a 'new age' shop in Bali. They don't really understand new age religions and mostly assume bule to be Christians.
I been going to Buddha Face tattoo in Legian for my tattoos the last few years and can't recommend Agus highly enough. Others will be able to recommend someone closer to Tuban though, I'm sure.
"Shine" and "Stroberi" are two separate stores. Both sell jewellery, headbands, accessories, some make up etc. I've never bought anything from Shine because I've always found the girls in there way too pushy and I end up walking out. I like to browse without someone following and constantly asking if I want the thing I'm looking at, lol. They have a few outlets but the only one I remember the location of is at Bali Galleria.
Stroberi is located not far from Matahari in Kuta Square. I always buy little bits and pieces for my two nieces - and the odd thing for my nephew, but it's mostly girly things.
