It has been a couple of years since I have posted anything on this forum, not because I didn't want to but because the timing wasn't right, you see my families life changed in 2009 whilst my daughter Rhiannon who was 20 at the time dived into a swimming pool and broke her neck sustaining a spinal cord injury and becoming a Quadriplegic. Rhiannon has made a fantastic recovery, she is in a wheelchair, but she is alive. Another chapter in her journey to recovery and closure is her return to Bali and for the last couple of years she has yearned to return, but due to one thing or another, she just didn't feel ready. Our family is returning Christmas Eve and we are welcoming the New Year at the place we always called our second home, our paradise like so many. This will be a huge challenge for us and closure for Rhiannon as I had been taking Rhiannon to Bali since she was a little tacker. Back in the early days of her accident she vowed that she would never return, but now she is ready and is taking another leap to return to the place that we loved for the people and the culture. So if you see a beautiful blonde girl in her manual wheelchair and me pushing her around the organised kaos of the Bali streets, say hi, we are so excited and counting down the days, the preparation for this trip is huge and I have to say that Rhiannon is nervous as well but we are opening our arms up to the challenge. The support that our family has received since her accident from people on this forum has been amazing, so thank you, we will be sure to keep you updated of our adventures whilst we are there, Bali see you soon :)
