I've heard they give good rates to people who stay every year.
I stayed when the reno's were half done and got $80 a night for a month long stay. Their full rate was around $110-120 on their own booking site and not under $100 on any other sites at the time.
I wouldn't have gone back there for $80 a night even in a renovated room though. Location was good and the room was fine, but I got sick of coming "home" wanting to sit and relax outside my room and finding my table and chairs again taken for the football crowds in the restaurant. The pool umbrellas suffered the same fate, leaving no shade around the pool. I gave up asking them to stop doing it after a while and just decided I wouldn't go back there. Nowhere for taxis or drivers to park was another big downside for me.
