The big hotels don't have any Bali feel or character. You could be anywhere in the world in one of those. If they keep going they will end up like Singapore who got rid of all the places of character like old china town etc and made it another modern city with nothing to go and see or do. One good thing though is that I always used to get bali belly 30 years ago but now thanks to raspberry juice; never.
