I would definitely get the travel agent to put on instruction if he has problems walking that he required wheelchair assistance. This will be a great help to him. My husband requires one and the transition is quite smooth except that we never seem to have an airbridge on arrival which is the biggest problem getting down the stairs. Also if you have to get on the bus steps are way too high ask for a vehicle to take you to where the wheelchair will be waiting. Hope this helps and will save heaps of stress.
