it is a disgrace. Glass bottom boat over is okay but then there is a walk from the boat to the entrance (including over broken coral and shells) through water. Once inside they can hold a small flapping turtle for a photo shoot ($15 each) then move to a mud pen for want of a better word which had about 15cm of water. There were some very big turtles but they were all jammed in, flapping in the muddy water, with people climbing all ove them, such a shame.
Then there were a couple of parrots, a sea eagle you couldn't touch, a snake (with it's mouth taped shut), a large lizard and a large bat that they wanted you to hold for photos.
Then once that was checked out the hard sell came for donations for the animal food and then the ladies who take you around had there hands out -apparently they work voluntary because they "love the animals so much", then buying drinks, photos etc. I might add this is on top of paying for the tour in the first place.

Baby turtles are released on Kutu beach at 4:30 for free but as it is the end of the hatching season you would have to check during the day or ask Mr Turtle when a nest is due to hatch. Pick up a token to reserve a turtle that you carry down the beach and release. If you go onto the beach opposite the Hard Rock, turn left and just along abit you will see a giant fiberglass turtle, ask there.
