My opinion is
All very similar with the seating and some seats lay back more than others but it is less then 4 hours so one notch back is fine for me.
Garuda - full service and you pay for it. Meals are typical airline food and nothing special. For an extra $200 PP I do not think it is worth it. A longer flight would be worth it. Pay for everything on board with a Credit Card - NO CASH. games and Video in the back of the seat. Pay for Movies.
Jet* are same seating as the rest. Food was day old on our last trip and I settled for Noodles in a cup. Good choice. Their on-board food only lasts until row 10 then they have run out. crackers or noodles in a cup. Drinks were warm.
Virgin. Very much the same as Jet* and we ate at Perth airport so did not need to eat on the plane. Drinks on our trip were cold.
Air Asia - Flown with them about 10 times and are hard to beat, Seats only lay back 2 notches. Drinks are OK but ice supplied for OJ, coke etc. Food is average but generally eat at the airport we do not eat on the way over. I like it that you can choose your baggage size and so far never a Cancellation although 1 hour late last time going over.
Also flown Qantas, Sampati, Merpati, Air Paradise and Cathay Pacific and those were years ago, so no comment is applicable.
Remember it is only a short flight.
Drinks on board. I noted that many people take an empty water bottle through customs then fill it from the water fountain in the boarding lounge just before departure. Saves a couple of cents I suppose.
