(Makassar). You can fly to Monado in the north or Palu in the central west. There are other airports to the east but you have mentioned going for a week and you would not really have enough time to get around some of those areas.
Monado is mainly for those interested in diving. There is also the Minahasa highlands which are interesting.
Probably for one week it may be best to fly to Ujunag Pandang and then take a vehicle up to the Toraja area. This is quite spectacular. After 3 days there maybe return to Ujung Pandang and then travel down to Bima Beach and Bulakumba. This is the boat building area.
