Ok I'm calling all that have had a Bali wedding, planning a Bali Wedding or attended a Bali wedding to throw forward your ideas/suggestions please. We are helping to plan our daughter's Bali wedding in March 2015. Yes I know it is 2 years off but they would like to source options then take a trip over to Bali to view their narrowed down list & meet with a wedding planner, cake supplier, photographer etc
A budget has not yet been determined as we are looking into costs first to get a greater idea of the expenses involved & what to budget for. But BUDGET is the main word here, no 5 star villas or resorts need apply!
It will be a small, intimate wedding immediate family only approx 14 adults/5 children all under 5yrs so I assume catering would be very little for them.
Plan A- At this stage they would prefer a villa location for the ceremony/reception. Somewhere that has an expanse of grass as children will be attending & also a pool. It can be private or within shared villa grounds but with beautiful gardens.
Plan B- a hotel/resort garden ceremony. Maybe catering by the resort or move onto a restaurant for the reception.
Plan C- A location/restaurant that can accommodate a ceremony & reception.
To cut cost a buffet banquet is planned with only beer/soft drink/juice/water catered for. Every guest will be asked to bring a bottle of wine or champs duty free as a wedding gift to help keep costs down. A wedding planner may only be used for the legal side of organising the paperwork & ceremony etc as we would like to do alot of the extras ourselves, but time & research will decide this.
Thanks heaps
