irrelevant cliché IMO. Lombok is predominantly Muslim and the different culture, customs and opinions create a completely different vibe than what you would be used to on Bali. The sameness you might find is that of an Indonesian community not yet entiely focused on tourism. In terms of accommodation, most is priced well below what you would pay in Bali. If you are looking at staying in Senggigi a a comparative hotel might be the Senggigi Beach hotel. But, as other poster s have said, there is a lot to Lombok and you need to decide where you will be based, mainland or Gilis, and what you want to do while you are there for anyone to give you any specific advice.
