The resort is definitely the better option over the Bungalows, so that's good.
But as I've said, the hotel isn't really helpful with requesting specific room numbers, or even connecting rooms. There's 3 floors, so if you have a preference, I'd say requesting that with a reason why would be a more likely result than actual room numbers.
Of our two rooms, we requested queen beds for both and got that. We also requested ground floor for one of the rooms due to bad knees, but left it open on where the other room was as it wasn't important and we didn't particularly want connecting rooms anyway.
But as I said, the friends who booked the deluxe connecting rooms got rooms next to each other, but with a corridor between them. It's a good thing the kids were 12 and 14 and not younger as the hotel was completely unable to give them connecting rooms at all during the 2 weeks, even though it was booked about 10 months in advance.
We saw other people at reception struggling to get connecting rooms they'd booked in advance as well - their kids were younger and I don't know what the end result was.
