It is better to buy your 60 day Turis Visa from an Indonesian Consulate oe Embassy before you arrive in Indonesia.
I paid $A26 for a 30 day VOA and then tried to extend it in January this year. As I applied 5 days before the VOA, I was refused. I ended up paying a fellow at my hotel Rp 650,000 to extend the VOA. I had to wait 11 days before my passport was returned with the extension stamp.
