On Nyepi day you will be confined to the hotel grounds only. You won't be able to go to the beach or leave the hotel at all. Nothing is open anywhere, restaurants, shops etc.

The hotel will make provisions for meals - usually it's breakfast as usual, lunch meals at the restaurant and then for dinner they often serve buffet only and earlier than usual so as it's finished by 6pm when it's getting dark.

You will be able to have lights on in your hotel room and watch TV but they'll ask you keep curtains closed to keep the light as hidden from outside as possible.

Anything beyond that such as any organised activities within the hotel/resort will depend on where you are staying and you may be best served to contact the hotel directly and ask what they are offering. Generally it's not much as it's considered a 'day of silence'.

The parade the night before is worth watching, and the day after Nyepi there is a market along the beach in Kuta that is also worth a visit.
