Day 5 - Time to leave the beautiful DBH and Lembongan. Had a sleep in and then b/fast, check out time was noon so packed up and checked out before 11am. Transport already organised back to fastboat and relaxed at the bar for a final drink, soaking up the atmosphere and sea air. No worries DBH- we will be back, next time for longer.
While waiting at the beach for fastboat, we walked to check out other accommodation available but nothing grabbed our fancy. The fastboat back to Sanur was uneventful until a local kid started throwing up into a plastic bag which got me going, don't look I tell myself. My head facing the window for the rest of the journey.
Transfer to BGH with the lovely Made already and waiting and off we go. Traffic was ok. Checkin took less than 10 mins and shown to our room which was on the ground floor wing.
Lovely large room overlooking the pond with nice decor, only the bathroom looked outdated. This was LUXURY for us at $150 night because we usually pay much less than that. We showered with fresh HOT water (gorgeous!) and had a cuppa. Feeling human once again we crossed the road to Bubba Gumps for a very late lunch which was more than satisfying then off for some retail therapy, dragging husband to Matahari's. I only needed baby clothes for the many neices and nephews who keep breeding. Bought 10 jumpsuits for around $50 and happy with that we went to Gloria Jean's for coffee. Their Chai Latte was not the best. Walking back to the hotel we diverted thru Art markets for a quick look-see and continued along beach path.
Decided on ordering room service around 9pm for a quick snack and was very disapointed with the presentation, expecting silver tray and more, we got polystyrene plates, paper bags and cardboard boxes. The food was only mediocre too. Oh well, this is Bali afterall!!!!
It started to pour with rain around 9.30pm and continued for hours along with thunder and lightening.

Day 6 - After a restful sleep we had coffee in our room then went to b/fast after finally finding where it was. The Hotel is quite large and had different levels so it became a maze, something we're not quite used to. The b/fast was as good as they get, at least the place was air-conditioned. After that we walked around the gardens and surveyed the damage from last night's storm, leaves and debris lying over the grassed areas and in pool. All the staff busily cleaning and wiping down furniture etc.
We checked out for our 11.50am flight back to Perth and staff called for taxi which was there before we got to the bottom step, and within 10 minutes we were at the airport going thru the usual procedures.
Flight was good and comfortable and with nothing to declare at the other end we were out quickly and in a cab on our way home and back to work on Monday.
Already booked to go back in September, so not such a long wait, is it?

Thanks for reading.
