Is similar to yours and very positive. I have bought my block with a local sponsor and the villa is nearly finished. I have been blown away with the costs and how my friends have not seen me as a rich bule but rather they all want to honor my beautiful husband who they all felt so fondly of. I would even dare say that I am paying local prices but with very good quality materials. Just finished with the electrician and the price for the electricity box, the circuit breaker box (with separate circuits for lights, pool, garden lights, power points etc), 3 ceiling fans, lights not globes but lamp type wall ones, power points, light switches and all the cabling and the cost was 1,400,000rp!
I often wonder if all the negative people have actually been bitten or just heard peoples stories. I am sure bad things happen but believe every individual situation is different and sometimes is based on the level of respect the local people have for you.
